Why we started the Good Woof Company
At the Good Woof Company, we believe our dogs deserve the same quality of food we expect for ourselves – real, nourishing, and made with care.
Our journey began with George, our first beagle – loyal, loving, and always hungry. At three years old, George developed pancreatitis and persistent skin irritations that no commercial food or treatment seemed to help. Determined to improve his health and happiness, we started making treats and meals at home using simple, wholesome ingredients. What began as a necessity quickly became a passion – creating food that didn’t just meet dietary needs, but made his tail wag too.
After George passed, Fergus joined our family. Another beagle, but with a very different approach to food – Fergus is fussy, selective, and refuses to eat just anything. So back to the kitchen we went, trialling new recipes until we found what worked for him.
Today, Fergus is our official Chief Taste Tester, and thanks to a consistent diet of real, minimally processed food, we’ve noticed an incredible difference in his overall wellbeing:
His coat is shinier, softer, and sheds far less
His teeth are naturally cleaner and his breath fresher
His digestion is healthy and consistent
And yes, even his gas is much more bearable!
